Keeping Your Bird Healthy

In my little knowledge and experience of keeping birds, health are one of the keys of successful producing of offspring. Bear in your mind, those healthy birds can easily breed and produce eggs. They have the ability of managing of their babies when they are in good health. Like human being, people can raise their children when they are in good health. They can settle all the problems they have.

Pet bird caring starts with accommodation for your bird. There are a number of options when thinking about the types of bird houses for your pet. You can offer a very large bird cage or a smaller cage alongside with a play area exterior of the cage, regularly utilizing a playpen. You can make a flight cage for usual exercise or have an aviary. Aviaries can be either an outside or indoor aviary. Indoor aviaries can even be a 'bird room' type.

Keep a close eye on your bird health. A well bird has bright and clear eyes they have also a shiny cere and beak. They have tough shiny bright feathers. When you bring in a new budgie into your home and you already have birds, make sure to put the new bird in quarantine for a minimum of 30 days to make sure they are not carrying any disease that could be passed on to your current birds. The new one stays in different cage for quarantine.

You must give them variety of foods like fresh fruits and veggies, mixes seeds, a good and regular exercise. Clean and sanitized cages and nest boxes is important especially in breeding parakeets.
