These wonderful little birds came and originated in Australia. Before, they are living in the in their natural habitat. When the days pass, many people kept them as a buddy. And now, pet lovers kept them for breeding. In other country they were keeping the birds as a source of income. Breeders discover easy ways on how to breed parakeets. Philippines are one of the largest productions of parakeets. They are also called budgies (budgerigars). In United States they called them keets.

If you have room in your backyard colony breeding is a good choice for you. This way requires a space to make a large flight when they are normally kept. When you are choosing a bird you better look at the bird carefully, they must be in a good condition, and they are not suffering any respiratory disease, nasal and eye discharge, fungal infection. Also choose a bigger size. It is very important to choose mature and healthy keets to ensure the healthiness of their offspring.

Parakeets incubate their eggs between eighteen to twenty days.
